First 24 Hours – Second Skin Protection

• Your tattoo may feel red, sore, or warm. Some blood, plasma, and ink may seep out, this is normal.

• Keep the second skin on for 24 hours (unless it starts peeling. Then remove it, clean gently, dry, and apply a thin layer of Aquaphor).

• The bandage is water-resistant, but do not soak in water or take hot showers.

• After 24-hours remove the bandage. Do so under lukewarm running water. Slowly peel from the edge, rolling it back over itself. Don’t pull straight upward.

Days 2–5 – Cleaning & Moisture

• Itching may begin. Do not scratch or pick.

• Wash gently twice a day with water and fragrance-free soap. Use hands only, no cloths or sponges.

• Pat dry with a clean paper towel.

• Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor or unscented moisturizer after washing.

Days 5–14 – Peeling & Healing

• Continue washing and moisturizing twice daily.

• Light peeling and scabbing are normal. Do not pick or scratch.

Weeks 2–4 – Ongoing Care

• Itching should be gone, but your skin is still healing underneath.

• Keep washing gently and moisturizing often.

• Protect your tattoo by using SPF 30+ sunscreen on healed areas and avoid long sun exposure.
